Welcome to Paleo Diet for Weightloss, a mobile application that helps users to monitor their diet and track their weight through the App’s various Features (the “App”). (the“Company”, “we”, “us” and “our”) respect your privacy.
It is your decision to provide us with your personal information. You are not legally obligated to provide us with this information, but we need it in order to provide you with the App’s functionality.
This policy is combined into our User Agreement terms-of-use (the “Terms”) and is a part of them.
Data Controller is the data controller of the personal data on the App.
Information you provide us. When registering to the App, you will be required to provide us with your email address. If you submit a request or inquiry to our technical support or by using our ‘Contact’ form, you will be asked to provide us with additional information required in order to process your request.
Information we automatically collect. We collect information on your use of the App, such information includes the mobile device you use, advertising ID, your mobile operating system, and information about the way you use the App. We will keep the information in our servers (but in no event, we will collect or retain information you submitted to the App).
Using the information we collect. We process the information we collect to operate and enhance the App and in order to provide you the ability to use the various Features of the App.
Sharing the information we collect. We will share your information with third parties service providers, strictly for the purpose of helping us with the internal operation of the App and to operate with third party Apps.
Integration with Third-Party App. You may choose to share your information with apps such as: Fitbit and Apple Health App. Any such integration with such apps are subject to those app’s privacy policies, not this Policy. At any time, You may disable the integration with such apps
Aggregated information. We will use the Analytical Information we collect from you to create de-identified, statistical or aggregated information, and make it available to others for any purpose.
Security. We implement measures to reduce the risks of damage and unauthorized access or use of information, but these measures, just like any security measure, cannot provide absolute information security.
Children privacy. You must be 18 years of age or older in order to use the App. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect information about children who are under 13 years of age.
Changes to the Policy. We may change this Policy, in which case we will seek your consent to those changes if they are material.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The information you actively provide us
Registration. If registration will be required through the App, You will be asked to register using your email address (“Registration Data”).
Registration with your social media account. If you choose to register with your social media account (such as Facebook), you are allowing us access to retrieve your profile information from such social network. We can only access the information that the social network makes available to third parties by default (such as: name, email, etc.).
Inquiries. If you contact us for questions or complaints, or for technical support, we will collect the information related to your inquiry. This includes your name, email address and other information you choose to provide, depending on the nature of your inquiry.
Information we automatically collect
Analytic information. When you access or use the App, we may use third party analytics tools (such as Facebook Analytics and Google Analytics) to automatically collect information about your use of the App. This information includes your session durations, the sections you accessed on the App, your interactions and user-interface clicks, the frequency and scope of your use of the App (“Analytical Information”). For example, if you chose to add your weight to the App, we will be able to see that you made such interaction, but we will not collect or have access to the data inserted (in other words: we will not be able to know your weight).
Purchases. Any purchases within the app are made through the relevant app store. We receive de-identified statistical and aggregate data regarding such purchases.
Device Information. We will also collect information about your personal computer or mobile device, including its model, operating system type and version, unique advertising identifiers, geographic region, keyboard language, mobile network information and the Internet Protocol (IP) address through which you accessed the App (“Device Information”).
Note that we collect Analytical Information and Device Information per session, meaning that in each time you access the App (after a complete shut-down of the App), you will be allocated with a new id, such that we don’t be able to personally identify you.
USING COLLECTED INFORMATION
We will use your Information set forth above in order to provide you with the various features on the App.
In addition, we will process and use your Information for our legitimate interests in operating our App and business. More specifically, we will use your information for the following purposes:
Operating the App and providing its Features and functionalities.
Generating statistical and aggregated information about use of the App.
Providing you with support, handling complaints and contacting you when we believe it is necessary;
Enforcing the Terms and this Policy and preventing misuse of the App;
Complying with any applicable law and assisting law enforcement agencies and competent authorities, if we believe it is necessary or justified;
Taking any action in any case of dispute involving you, with respect or in relation to the App.
WE DON’T USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION IN ORDER TO MAKE ANY AUTOMATED DECISIONS WITH RESPECT TO YOU.
Integration with Third-Party App. You may choose to share your information with apps such as: Fitbit and Apple Health App. Any such integration with such apps are subject to those app’s privacy policies, not this Policy. At any time, You may disable the integration with such apps.
Advertisers. We are using the following third-party services: Firebase, Flurry, Admob, Tapgoy that may also collect information about your use of the App. Any integration with such services are subject to those services’ privacy policies, not this Policy.
The App is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly or intentionally collect information about children who are under 13 years of age.
SHARING INFORMATION COLLECTED
We may share the information outlined in this Policy, with others, in any of the following instances:
With third-party vendors for operating the service:
De-identified information with third-parties;
If you have breached the Terms, abused your rights to use the App, or violated any applicable law. Your information may be shared with competent authorities and with our counsels, if we believe it is necessary or justified;
If the operation of the App is organized within a different framework, or through another legal structure or entity (such as due to a merger or acquisition);
In any case other than the above, your information will only be shared with others if you provide your explicit prior consent.
RETAINING AND DELETING COLLECTED INFORMATION
We retain the information outlined above, for as long as you are using the App. We will delete your information from our systems, without notice to you, once we deem it is no longer necessary for the purposes set forth above.
Please note that merely uninstalling the App will delete your account and its details.
ACCESSING, UPDATING OR DELETING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION AND OBTAINING A COPY OF IT
You may ask to access the personal information about you that is stored in our systems, or have us update, correct or delete such information. You may also be entitled to obtain from us the personal data you provided us (including data we obtained from other sources) in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and have the right to transmit those data to another data controller. We implement measures to reduce the risks of damage, loss of information and unauthorized access or use of information. These measures do not provide absolute information security. Therefore, it is not guaranteed and you cannot expect that the App will be immune from information security risks.
If you are in the EU, you may ask to access the personal information about you that is stored in our systems, or have us update, correct or delete such information. You are also entitled to obtain from us your information (excluding data we obtained from other sources) in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and have the right to transmit those data to another data controller. Subject to applicable law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are in the EU, then according to Article 77 of the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your residence, place of work or of an alleged infringement of the GDPR. The following disclosure is made pursuant to California Online Privacy Act (CA Civil Code § 22575): When you use our App, other parties, such as Google, may collect personally identifiable information about your activities over time and across different websites or online services.
We may change this Policy, in which case we will seek your consent to those changes if they are material. If you do not consent to the amended Policy, we may terminate your account and block your access to, and use of, the App.
